SATURDAY
I took a morning train to Bourges and spent the day exploring the city with my roommate, Becky, and another English assistant, Victoria. Bourges is located between Montluçon and Paris.

FRIDAY
It was a nice evening, so I took a walk into town and wandered about.

On my way back from town, I stopped at the grocery store, Intermarché, to do some shopping. I was amused to find Simpsons themed galettes des rois, which are pie-like cakes. They are eaten between the Epiphany and Mardi Gras. A small figurine, fève, is baked inside each galette and in this case the figurines are characters from the Simpsons. Americanization.

I caught an eight o'clock train from Basel to Gare de l'Est in Paris, then was able to catch the direct train between Paris and Montluçon.

MONDAY
I took a quick walk around Geneva before catching the train to Basel in northern Switzerland.
Brunswick Monument. Named after Charles d'Este-Guelph, Duke of Burnswick, who was linguist, musician, and investor that died in Geneva in 1873.
