17 mars 2009, Saint Patrick's Day

TUESDAYFor Saint Patrick's Day I had my students make paper crowns where upon they wrote "Happy Saint Patrick's Day" and draw shamrocks, rainbows, a pot of gold, and other symbols of the day. During recess, some of the fifth grade girls, in French spirit, began marching around the courtyard chanting "No Saint Patrick" and they were trying to get other students to join. I didn't quite understand, but I suppose they just wanted to protest :).
