SATURDAY

Église Saint Paul has been under renovation since 2004 and today was the inauguration opening of the church after its renovation. There was a decent turn out of people to see the work.

Peter Hemming's art exhibition at the Office du Tourisme in Montluçon. I know Peter from Club anglais.

Protest. I walked out of the Monoprix (a French grocery store) and to my surprise there was a protest marching down the street. The participants in the protest were from the Association pour la Protection et l'Amélioration du Patrimoine Mailletois. Maillet is a small village of 350 people located about 12 miles north of Montluçon. It seems the protest was against Maillet being used as a site of garbage waste.At the train station in Montluçon. My friend, Monika, who is teaching in Montpellier came to visit for the weekend.
