8 mai 2009, Saint-Pierre-des-Corps → Nantes

FRIDAY I left Saint-Pierre-des-Corps at 8:20am and enjoyed the beautiful train ride along the Loire River.

Arrived at the Nantes train station shortly after ten and walked to the hostel.
This was my first time back to Nantes since I studied here for three and a half months during the fall of 2006. It was amazing to be back.

Graffiti is everywhere on the U of Nantes campus, which I think is a defining part of any French public university. The ATM is tagged: argent gratuit (free money).
Château des ducs de Bretagne (Castle of the Duke of Brittany) was under renovation while I studied here, so this was my first time inside its walls.

The castle now houses an impressive thirty-two room museum on the history of Nantes.
