SUNDAY
Just before 9am there was a line for the doors to open at Monoprix. Monoprix is the only grocery store open on Sundays, the hours are nine to noon.
There was a flee market, which took place in castle courtyard. The selection consisted of secondhand musical instruments along with cds, tapes, and vinyl. It was amusing to peruse. Canal Duc De Berry was built to support Montluçon's industrial era during the 19th Century. The canal was in use from 1840 to 1945. I took a short pleasant walk along the canal, which I had previously only seen while passing on the train between Montluçon and Paris.
This particular portion of the canal is now privately owned and people come to picnic, play pétanque, and take a gander at some animals.

A llama. Some deer. People playing pétanque along the bank of the De Berry Canal. In pétanque, each player has two hollow metal balls and the aim is to get closest to the small wooden ball, it is similar to bocci ball and a lot of French play it.
