Woke up to snow


Château d’Annecy, which was used by the Counts of Geneva beginning in the thirteenth century, is now a museum. The temporary exhibit was on the prehistoric age in the region. The permanent exhibits consisted of medieval artwork, furniture from the nineteenth century, and modern art.

Lake Annecy is bidding for the 2018 Winter Games


We took a short hike before the sun went down.

Bought a baguette, cheese, lettuce, and other staples from the grocery store and enjoyed dinner in our hotel room.

10 février 2009, Lyon to Annecy

TUESDAY


We took the métro from the hostel to the Lyon train station.

It was a two hour coach ride from Lyon to Annecy.

We stopped at the public bibliothèque (library)

Lac d'Annecy (Lake Annecy)

Leslie and I walked along Lac d'Annecy and eventually ended up in the town of Sevrier.

Sevrier Cemetery has Lac d'Annecy and the French Prealps as a background.
