13 avril 2009, Giverny to Trier

MONDAY
View from our hotel room

le petit déjeuner (breakfast)

Made a quick stop in Reims on the way to Trier to see the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Reims, which was the traditional site of the crowning of French kings.

Statue: Jeanne d'Arc, who played a roll in the crowning of Charles VII, which took place in the catherdal in 1429.

Pass through Luxembourg on the way to Trier, Germany.

From the deck of our hotel room there was a beautiful view of Trier, though before we could enjoy it we had to figure out how to open up the door; reference video.
