I accompanied mom while she made some phone calls back home. We were standing in a payphone next to the cathedral. It was Saturday night and the rain was coming down. It was entertaining to catch the cars circle around the full parking lot. At one point a lady gets in her car to leave, though she doesn't have much room for manoeuvring. I am on the phone with Colleen and mom hops out from under the phone booth and starts waving her hands to help the lady get out. I caught the end of it on video... mom says to the lady, "Merci, au revoir" (thanks, bye), which is brilliant, as that is the perfect thing to say when you are leaving a restaurant or a boutique.
